Fire Damage Works

Faithdean Reconstruction Services. The subject property comprised of a detached two storey residential dwelling dating back approximately to the 1930’s and was constructed using traditional methods for that period.   Total refurbishment was required to restore the property back to it’s pre-fire damage condition.

A fire commenced in the roof void causing extensive damage to the roof and upper structure and subsequent water damage to the remainder of the property.  As a result the property was in need of stripping out and preparatory works prior to rebuilding.  The remaining plaster to internal and external walls was removed as instructed in the specific works section and all defective electrical and plumbing services were also removed.

Reinstatement comprised of the renewal of the roof structure, covering and the localised remedial works to the eaves brickwork. Internal plaster and plasterboard linings were required to load bearing masonry and stud work partitioning. Extensive joinery repairs such as floors, skirting, architraves, doors and windows were undertaken throughout.

Decoration was undertaken to both the internal and external finishes as well as the renewal of external joinery and rainwater goods.  Total renewal of the electrical installation was also required along with re-instatement of the heating and plumbing installations.
